    • Works pretty well but doesn't get to the undercoat through coarse hair.

      We have a long haired woolly beast of a wolf hybrid named Zeus living with us in sunny Florida and the struggle with shedding is a very real thing. We have tried just about every brush there is an the length and coarseness of Zeus's hair is always the challenge. To be fair to Dyson I should mention that we spent 3 years living in Alaska with Zeus and he never really lost that tundra coat. This brush works pretty well however. It really keeps the house clean during brushing which we used to reserve as an outside activity unless it have included a photo of Zeus to help illustrate his coat.

      Holy Corgi, Batman!I bought this attachment. It arrived today and I immediately put it to the test. Literally a life or death decision for this guy. Not surprisingly, this dog sheds. Surprisingly, this dog is listed as among the worst for shedding breeds!Over the past few months we've watched this puppy grow into his current self and amazed anyone would want to get rid of him. Not only is he no longer blind, the runt is among the few puppies that survived at all!The Problem:HE SHEDS! OH. MY. GOODNESS. HE SHEDS! You don't notice it until the weekend comes around and its time to clean. I have the unfortunate luck of being allergic to the world.

      Let me tell you what, I review almost nothing on here. We have a husky and as you husky owners know, they blow their coat twice a year. We always used to almost daily brush out her coat and fight and battle trying to keep her still while we did it. Surprisingly, she wasn’t afraid at all of the vacuum and actually didn’t mind it. Within 10 minutes, she looked like a new dog and we had no mess. Well well worth it, hate saying it but wish I bought this years ago

      I have a super shedder and this tool is amazing. One pass thru my Belgian Malinois, Leo, the tool has grabbed masses amounts of hair (which would eventually be on my floors, if not for the groom tool). Then when I let go of the thumb lever, which causes the bristles to pull into the body of the tool, the hair magically gets sucked up into my vacuum. The brush consists of small, very fine but strong wire or wire-like bristles that retract when the lever is released, thus releasing the hair which stays put until the vacuum sucks it into the bowels of the vacuum! If your dog is not used to the vacuum or is scared, another person holding him would be helpful, but once my dogs realized it was not going to hurt, they were ok with the whole deal. My suggestion would be to use the tool without the vacuum first, because it is basically an easy clean brush, then gradually warm the dog up to the idea of the vacuum running while being brushed. When they are ok with the noise, then attach the tool and away you go. Have fun with your hairless house! (not hairless, but it sure helps)

      I bought one of these for a long haired German shepherd. If you own a German Shepherd dog, you know they shed (365) days a year. The long haired ones are even worse. I don’t have a Dyson, but a previous reviewer on this site said he used it with a shop vac. Since I have a shop vac, I decided to order one and try it out. I attached this tool to shop 1¼” shop vac hose and used a piece of duct tape to keep it on and to create a tight seal.

      It work like advertised and must have taken (5) pounds of undercoat off my shepherd. I use it every day now in the garage and it keeps the undercoat and top coat off the floor because it get sucked directly into the shop vac every time you release the button. My dog does not seem to mind the use of this tool and I use it daily. I get a lot less dog hair inside my house since using this tool. The tool is kind of expensive, but it will save me a lot of clean up inside the house now.

      My wife uses this on a daily basis to groom our Great Pyrenees mix breed dog. She is a very high-rate shredder and this tool has drastically cut down on the amount of loose hair around the house.

      Pro:
      The tool itself is made of high quality / durable plastic, and has good quality, yet gentle metal prongs for pulling the hair. The operation is very easy. You press the little button on the back in order to extend the prongs and release in order for the vacuum to suck in the hair.

      Con:
      The only con that I have been able to find so far is when it comes to dogs really fine hair. The hair may not suck into the machine off of the tool after the first try and so you may have to press it 2-3 times or just push it into the hole with your finger.

      My one con aside, it is a fantastic tool and works better than just using a brush alone to vacuum up her hair. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for a good vacuum groom tool

    The dustbin and filters are removable and easy to rinse with water. Let them air dry completely before reattaching. Grooming heads can be wiped clean or gently washed depending on usage. We recommend cleaning after every few uses

      Cheaper than groomer just as good
      We used to get a mobile groomer, but it got way too expensive. Thought I’d give the ClipiClever a shot and honestly, love it. It’s easy, works really well, and saves us heaps.
